The Mobile Transporter is an example of Astro’s systems capability. This sophisticated system provides translation mobility along the length of the International Space Station. Astro is providing the overall system and unique subsystems for load transfer, roller suspension and linear drive. The system operates on the truss rails and provides mobility for early Space Station assembly and later provides the platform for the Canadian Mobile Servicing System.
