Calibration & Measurement Capabilities

Northrop Grumman takes pride in offering a wide range of test equipment related services, including; acquisition, asset management, metrology engineering consulting, calibration with recall and special measurement services. Instrument types cover a wide range of parameters, test characteristics, physical and dimensional values, electrical properties, and other engineering quantities. All services can be tailored to your particular needs. Fast turnaround and highly competitive costs are key factors, coupled with the recognized quality and dependability of Northrop Grumman.

The Metrology Services Capabilities Brochure is designed for easy access to information such as; quantity to be measured, the range of our capability to measure or calibrate and the amount of "uncertainty" in the process. The uncertainty values quoted are for typical calibrations. A lower uncertainty value can be achieved in most disciplines upon request. We encourage all inquiries and discussions to meet your exact needs.

All measurements and calibrations are directly traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) when possible. Traceability is to other recognized National Standards, or defacto standards when NIST traceability is not possible. All Northrop Grumman measurement results are documented and reviewed technically prior to final customer reporting.

Customers may specify a reporting format built around a Northrop Grumman model that satisfies ISO-9000 (series), MIL-STD-45662/A, NASA NHB-5300.4, and ANSI Z540.

Calibration services are provided for a wide range of measuring and test equipment, including customer reference standards, related to; manufacturing, product design, test engineering, acceptance qualification as well as R&D. From single calibrations to management of your entire metrology system, these technical services are provided to nearly all industries such as; automotive, environmental, chemical, bio-medical, aerospace and standards laboratories.

Engineering services are also available for; laser, on-wafer measurements, RF/millimeter wave development, antenna parameters, phase noise evaluations, fiber optical power and more.
