LOX/LH2 Reaction Control System
Northrop Grumman is developing a 1000-lbf liquid oxygen/liquid hydrogen Reaction Control System (RCS) thruster for use as on-orbit propulsion to maneuver second-generation launch and space transportation vehicles during payload deployment and docking.
The engine’s non-toxic features reduce hazardous conditions during launch preparation and return operations. This ease of handling improves efficiency by shortening vehicle turn-around time on the ground between missions.
Initial Testing was conducted at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. LOX/Liquid Hydrogen Reaction Control System Firing These videos are available as MediaPlayer files.
