Aqua Solar Array Integrated Onto Spacecraft

Aqua, one of two Earth Observing System spacecraft that Northrop Grumman is building for NASA, stands upright during installation of its solar array (on the right side of the spacecraft). The single solar array will supply more than 4,860 watts of power to the spacecraft, providing electrical energy for the satellite to perform its remote sensing mission. Northrop Grumman builds sensors, spacecraft and data distribution systems for remote sensing and Earth observation missions.
