Northrop Grumman Space Technology is a leader in the design and fabrication of high speed components for established and emerging commercial markets, including cellular and broadband wireless systems as well as aerospace, defense and scientific applications.  Northrop Grumman Space Technology also offers foundry services that utilize advanced indium phosphide (InP) and gallium arsenide (GaAs) semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Northrop Grumman Space Technology Enters strategic agreement with Hittite Microwave Corporation

Northrop Grumman Space Technology has entered into a strategic agreement with Hittite Microwave Corporation to license Northrop Grumman's Velocium Product line of Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMIC) and related intellectual property. Under the agreement, NGST will license to Hittite a specified list of standard products with a frequency of operation through 86 Ghz.

Hittite will assume the related customer contracts and will become the worldwide supplier for the products. Hittite will use Northrop Grumman Space Technology as a foundry supplier for Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) wafers used in the licensed products.

Northrop Grumman Space Technology will continue to offer foundry services for a wide array of GaAs and InP technologies, and will continue to market/offer off-the-shelf and custom products above 86 GHz addressing new emerging markets including millimeter-wave imaging, sensor, and communication applications.
